in the nation that has made an appearance in all three seasons of the
CFP. The Crimson Tide, as the No. 1 seed in 2014, lost to 42-35 to Ohio
State in the Sugar Bowl; last season, as the No. 2 seed, The Tide beat
Michigan State 38-0 in the Cotton Bowl and Clemson 45-40 in the national
championship game.Washington will be making its first appearance in the
College Football Playoff.
Alabama
has won 25 consecutive games; the Crimson Tide’s last loss was 43-37 at
home against Ole Miss on Sept. 19, 2015.Overall, Alabama has won four
of the past seven national championships. The Crimson Tide also has won
three SEC championships in a row and four of the past five. Alabama is
led by coach Nick Saban, who is now in his 10th season with the Crimson
Tide; Washington is in its third season under Chris Petersen, who
